Art Quilt Australia 2021

Ozquilt Network Inc is pleased to present Art Quilt Australia 2021, a biennial exhibition showcasing the very best of contemporary art quilt making in Australia.Art quilts are defined as stitched and layered textiles and have been described by Dr Sam Bowker, Senior Lecturer in Art History & Visual Culture at Charles Sturt University as “complex surfaces shaped by the interplay of intriguing materials. More than images they are sculptural -'Art Quilt Australia is a juried exhibition open to all textile artists in Australia and New Zealand and Ozquilt Network members worldwide. Finalists are eligible for the Ozquilt Network 'Award for Excellence' and the $3,000 acquisitive 'Expressions: The Wool Quilt Prize' sponsored by the National Wool Museum, City of Greater Geelong.
