Learn how to make a small ceramic bust and decorate it with underglazes.

All materials provided. Please bring an apron.
1 hour lunch break (BYO lunch)

Join artist Sassy Park for an engaging and accessible workshop exploring the art of small-scale ceramic portraiture. Participants will sculpt an intimate clay head, working from personal or imagined subjects, and bring their forms to life with underglaze colour. The finished pieces will be professionally fired and available for collection at a later date.

Cost includes all materials and free entry to the Archibald Prize 2025 Exhibition.

Sassy Park is a graduate from the National Art School in Sydney with a Masters degree in ceramics. Previous degrees and awards include Bachelor of Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts in painting; N.S.W. Travelling scholarship; The Muswellbrook Art Prize; N.E. Pethebridge Ceramic Award and the Keramikkünstlerhaus Scholarship Neumünster, Germany, Residencies include Hill End Artist Residency and the National Art School Onslow Storrier studio residency at La Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, France.. Her work is held in a number of state gallery collections including the Powerhouse Museum and Ballarat Art Gallery.
